I know this is something old, but I still like it. It’s no longer original, everyone on the internet has seen it at least once. Then this post will be for my archive only I guess.

Humans have the crazy urge to give everything a name. From the immense things to the tiniest little dots you leave behind on the pavement on a very early Saturday morning, while you’re drunk and don’t know where your house is. Ow I mean… even the ends of shoelaces have a name (they are called aglets).

Sometimes I wonder who the hell came up with a certain name and why. Sometimes the name is just boring (like bag). Other times names can be hilarious, funny, even more boring or very smartly invented. But the names that make me laugh most are the sarcastic ones. And the winner of them all is the name for the fear of long words, for that is called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. Whoever came up with that must be a bloody sadist!!!
