Some time ago I wrote a short tutorial on how to create a Windows installation USB key. The guide is still valid (and probably will be for quite some time), but there is an easier method now! Well, at least if you want to have Windows 7 on your USB key.
Microsoft has release Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool (direct link), which only requires a few mouse-clicks to create your key. All you need is the ISO-file of Windows 7 (obtainable from your Microsoft Store Account), a working computer with Windows installed and an USB key. However I am not sure most netbook owners (the primary target audience for this tool since netbooks don’t have a CD-ROM player) have a Microsoft Store Account.
The fun part is that the tool has been release under the GPLv2 license. But that’s because they had to…
You’ve taken one man and you put him in front of you.
And you put him in the newspaper for every day.
With something to focus on, with something to look at.
It’s interesting!
And they make him very very very exciting.
A devil of every type in description.
Everyone’s nightmares.
Everyone’s boogeyman…
Everyone’s boogeyman

Lately I’ve been busy with a new idea I have. It has to do with the (sub)culture cybergoth and that is exactly how it is named: CyberGoth.nl. The goal is to inform fellow cybergoths about new gigs/events and join on the forum. In time more will added (although I have no idea about that yet).
If you are in any way interested in the subject please visit CyberGoth.nl and register.

Cookie monster
Spending any amount of time online requires that one practice some safe usage patterns. This means being weary of scam emails, scam websites, and just the general bad hook.
More often than not however, people are lured into tricks and masquerades. Consequently, sensitive personal data is revealed, and things are stolen. One of the most famous areas of this debate have been browser cookies. If you don’t already know, cookies store custom information about you–that you’ve usually entered)–when visiting a website so that the next time you go back, the website can reload your information. Things like custom themes, or forum logins are stored in this manner.
Sometimes however, a cookie can contain a lot more. Those who are very sensitive about security swear that you should delete all cookies after every browsing session. Others could care less.
Our question of the day is: Do you delete your browser cookies? If so, why?
